My Q4 Business Strategy Revealed – And You Can Do It Too! This is week 2 of breaking down the parts of strategy, how they fit together, and sharing behind-the-scenes peeks into how it’s going. Today I’m talking about the free events that have become a big part of how I market my business coaching services.

For years, I’ve hosted a free monthly Q&A called Business Power Hour, where I help entrepreneurs get “unstuck” in different areas of their business. Whether it’s strategy, mindset, or operations, this hour is dedicated to answering questions and offering real-time coaching, and it’s a core part of my strategy for building community and generating leads.

This approach has been a game-changer. It lets people experience my coaching style, understand my personality, and get immediate value without a hard sell.

The best part? It builds trust and turns curious visitors into clients or referrals over time.

Inviting someone to a free, no-strings-attached event, allows them to let down their guard. They’re open to listening and don’t feel like they’re being sold to.

That’s why Business Power Hour is such a powerful tool for community building and client generation. Plus, it’s a genuine way for me to give back and support my community while growing my business, which is so important to me.

The success of this Q&A led me to expand my offerings, and now I run three free events each month! Each one is designed to help women+ entrepreneurs thrive:

Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned entrepreneur, I encourage you to join one of these events. Sign up using the links above, and I’d love to see you there!

So, what about you? Could hosting an event like this help grow your business? A Q&A, demo, or open house could be the perfect way to build trust, show your value, and bring in more clients.

Let me know if you’re ready to give it a try! Send me an email at laurajean@laura-jean.ca and let me know if this article inspired new ideas for your business.

Art for Self-Care When Times

Self-care is so important – especially for entrepreneurs, and art-making is my favourite way to calm my mind and my nerves. Even a 5 minute doodling break, with no pressure and no expectation of results can be a great reset on a particularly stressful day, or a way to start your morning with some fun and creativity. I invite you to set aside an hour for this video workshop, grab whatever art supplies you have

What to Do When the Banks Say No – Part 2

In the 90’s, my knitwear business was focused on wholesale. I had samples and I’d visit shops and take orders. It seemed like an easy-peasy business model at first; make product to order and get paid for it. What could go wrong? Here’s the rub: For September delivery, I would get the orders in May.
