Things have been chaos since Fonzie arrived on the scene.
A tiny, 8 week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has been running me ragged for the past two months, and I’m finding it even more difficult than usual to follow through on things.
Planning is also a challenge, and generally it feels like my business is falling apart around me lately. 😂
However, October 1 is a perfect chance for a fresh start, and to create a plan that’ll give me a strong finish to the year and a great foundation for 2025.
As I was writing rough notes for this Q4 strategy in my phone, I realized that sharing my actual plan would be the most valuable thing of all.
Many entrepreneurs out there are doing things exactly as I have been since Fonzie came.
They’re flying by the seat of their pants, cobbling things together with no clear goals, no way to measure if it’s succeeding and not really having a cohesive strategy at all.
As a Business Coach, I help my clients make great plans that tie everything together all the time.
Now I get to do it for myself and you can follow along for the next 3 months!
Let’s get into the plan. This is an outline based on notes I typed into my phone as a super rough first draft.
It’s not a perfect, detailed, airtight plan yet, but it’s good enough to get started and keep revising as I go.
I’ll set up spreadsheets for me to organize my work, my marketing, my metrics and so on.
And I’ll create content showing and explaining the sheets, as well as other behind-the-scenes content!
The Goals
Over Q4, create exciting, fun, educational content for my audience (women entrepreneurs). Focus on certain social platforms, email marketing and blog posts as well as continuing the successful events that I’ve been doing.
- Sell 3 and 6 month coaching packages
- Sell new VIP Days
- Educate the audience about the kinds of things I can help them with
- Let them see my personality, how I work and think about things, so they can see if they will like working with me
- Create community on my social media because people are following along over this 3 month period and engaged in learning from the content
- Increase attendance to my events
- Create referrals and sharing; content that people want their friends to see
- Post daily and focus on consistency
- Make really great human content, inspirational, cute, relatable etc.
Metrics
Set up key metrics to measure and improve upon, including guests at events, email subscribers etc. Specifics TBD
Topics to cover
I brainstormed a list of topics to start with , which I’m figuring out how to organize – whether to do themed weeks, a series of posts on a topic, or something else.
- Mindset
- Self awareness
- Having a clear vision for your business
- Ideal client
- Your why
- Building Community
- Assessing your priorities
- Dealing with imposter syndrome
- Collaboration
- Mental Health
- Being Kind to yourself
- Patience and Consistency
- Collaboration
- Leadership
- Powerful communication
- Selling as Service
- Setting Boundaries
- Marketing Strategy – tying together events, ways of connecting, email marketing, social media etc.
- Being Human! – connecting as a human being, also understanding that being human means running your business as a human
- The power of listening
- Failing to plan is planning to fail
- Investing in yourself and your business
- Money Energy
- Core Values in your business
- “They might not like it” – fear of judgement
- Systems and metrics – (noooo but I’m a free spirit)
- Systems set you free
- Creativity and joy in business
The content will be a mix of videos, photo posts, email and blog posts as well as events, webinars etc.
This plan will evolve over time and become a template for 2025, and I gotta say – getting this much of a start on it feels amazing!
Also, it’s giving me a good chance to expand my comfort zone to include following through, being organized and planning ahead. This is not something I’m strong in at the best of times.
Creative bursts and new projects come easily. However, following through on a previous plan or project that takes effort for me!
If you’ve read this far, I’d love to know what you think!
